Don't use your 'main' email address when submitting

"God Showed Me Your Picture Today," my first devotional was published on Daily Wisdom August 31, 2006. Yippee! Thank you God. Their acceptance letter was very gracious and encouraging. One thing I would recommend to other writers, however, is to include a secondary email address -- not your primary, main stay, everyday use email address if you make a submission. I've had several strange emails since it got published that look like people fishing for a sucker to take advantage of. And, because I'm a Christian it's hard to decide whether I respond or not. If I had used an alternative email address I wouldn't care what they send to it or take from it. But right now I'm feeling very vulnerable with my real email address out there for the world to see. I submitted it because I didn't want to miss an email from the publisher but now I'm thinking I should have specified a different one for them to publish. ~ Nancy Lucas
